      Mark PowellAug 4, 2025
If your Hotsy Pressure Washer is not producing hot water, ensure the burner switch is in the ON position. Check and refill the fuel tank, using only recommended fuels. Verify that the water supply is adequate by fully opening the faucet and checking for any hose kinks or clogs in the inlet screen. Also, make sure the trigger of the spray gun is squeezed, as water must be spraying for the burner to light.

If you're experiencing low spray pressure at the pressure nozzle of your Hotsy Pressure Washer, first ensure you have an adequate water supply by fully opening the faucet and checking for any kinks or damage to the hose; use a 3/4 inch minimum hose. Also, inspect the inlet screen for any debris. Clean or replace a partially clogged or damaged pressure nozzle. Refill the detergent container and ensure the pick-up screen is fully immersed if air is being drawn through the detergent inlet line. Finally, check that the detergent injector valve is set correctly.

If your Hotsy Pressure Washer gas engine won't run, start by checking if it's out of gas and replenish the supply with recommended fuels. Ensure the fuel valve is open, if equipped. Check the spark plug wire is securely connected. Make sure the choke or throttle is set correctly. Verify the engine ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Finally, check and replenish the engine oil level, as some engines won't start if the oil is low.
