Before removing the TouchPad module, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 27).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 29).
To remove the TouchPad module:
1. Peel the conductive tape o of the keyboard (1)
2. Starting in the corner, use a plastic, non-marking tool to pry up the TouchPad module to disengage the
adhesive that secures it to the top cover (2)
3. Working around each edge, pry the TouchPad module loose, and then remove it from the computer (3).
NOTE: The TouchPad module may be very tight and dicult to remove.
Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad module.
TIP: it must be pasted on both TouchPad and the keyboard metal.
