5. Remove the touchpad (5) from the computer.
NOTE: If an NFC module is installed, disconnect the NFC antenna cable from the ZIF connector on
the NFC module. The antenna is secured to the touchpad.
To install the touchpad, reverse this procedure.
Smart card reader
To remove the smart card reader from the top cover, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the smart card reader, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 37).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 48).
4. Remove the left speaker (see Speakers on page 45).
Remove the smart card reader:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector (1) on the card reader.
2. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (2) from the card reader board.
