Before removing the SSD, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 37).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 37).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 48).
Remove the SSD:
1. Lift the black tape (1) that connects the SSD cover to the memory cover.
2. Lift the SSD cover (2) off the system board.
3. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw (1) that secures the drive to the computer.
