Open the computer as far as it will open.
6. Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the optical drive to the base enclosure.
7. Remove the optical drive (2).

If it is necessary to replace the optical drive retention rails:
a.
Remove the four Philllips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the retention rails to the optical
drive.
b. Remove the retention rails (2).
