To insert the battery:
1. Align the tabs on the front edge of the battery with the notches on the front edge of the battery
bay.
2. Rotate the rear edge of the battery down into the battery bay until it is seated.
3. Slide the right battery release latch to lock the battery into place. (The left battery release latch will
automatically lock into place.)
4. Replace the battery cover, and then slide the battery cover back until it is seated. (The battery
cover release latch will automatically lock into place.)
SIM
Before removing the SIM, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the battery cover and battery (see
Battery on page 37).
Remove the memory module:
1. Press in on the SIM (1) to release it from the SIM slot.
