Information
Installing
New
Batteries
The
contents
of
the
calculator’s
Continuous
Memory
are
preserved
for
a
short
time
while
the
batteries
are out
of
the
calculator
(provided
that
you
turn
off
the
calculator
before
removing
the
batteries).
This
allows
you
ample
time
to
replace
the
batteries
without
losing
data
or
programs.
If
the
batteries
are
left
out
of
the
calculator
for
an
extended
period,
the
contents
of
Continuous
Memory
may
be
lost.
To
install
new
batteries,
use
the
following
procedure:
1.
Besurethe
calculator
is
off.
2.
Holding
the
calculator
as
shown,
press
outward
on
the
battery
compartment
door
until
it
opens
slightly.
3.
Grasp
the
outer
edge
of
the
battery
compartment
door,
then
tilt
it
up
and
out
of
the
calculator.
Note:
In
the
next
two
steps,
be
careful
not
to
press
any
keys
while
batteries
are not
in
the
calculator.
If
you
do
so,
the
contents
of
Continuous
Memory
may
be
lost
and
keyboard
control
may
be
lost
(that
is,
it
will
not
respond
to
keystrokes).
4.
Turn
the
calculator
over
and
gently
shake,
allowing
the
batteries
to
fall
into
the
palm
of
your
hand.
