How to fix build ink density calibration failure on HP Power Tool?
    • G
      gfreemanAug 9, 2025
To address a build ink density calibration failure on your HP Power Tool: 1. Verify the Tank Ink Controller (TIC) is clean, especially the lenses area. 2. If needed, replace the TIC. 3. Dilute 200 ml (not more!) and add 200 ml of imaging oil. 4. Calibrate density. 5. Repeat the dilution until the density calibration passes.

What to do if BID memories observed on HP Power Tool?
    • R
      rickbaileyAug 20, 2025
If you observe image memory issues such as 'Casper,' a frame below the image, or general image memory problems with your HP Power Tool, first confirm the issue is only occurring on Silver prints. Then, use PrintCare to increase the Electrode Voltage (ELV) in steps of 50v. Alternatively, you can perform a Full Color Calibration (FCC) using the recommended Optical Density (OD) targets for your substrate.

How to improve solid quality on HP Power Tool?
    • E
      Erica ZamoraAug 25, 2025
If the solid quality is poor when using the HP Power Tool, first verify that the problem is only occurring on Silver prints. If so, use the Silver Color Adjustment wizard to increase the Electrode Voltage (ELV) in steps of 50v. Alternatively, perform a full color calibration (FCC) with recommended OD targets per substrate.

What to do if TE band appears on HP Power Tool?
    • J
      Judith LewisAug 30, 2025
If you notice a TE band, which is silver accumulation at the trailing edge area on your HP Power Tool prints, calibrate the BID engage if it's not symmetrical between the front and rear. Also, in overlap prevention settings, increase the leading edge by 10 mm or more. Consider using leading edge color variation correction found in Print Care Center > Maintenance > Component Calibrations.

How to fix high background on HP Power Tool?
    • J
      Jennifer MartinSep 3, 2025
If the background is too high when using the HP Power Tool, use the Silver Color Adjustment wizard. First, verify that the electrode voltage (ELV) is at the lowest setting (400 v). Then, optimize the cleaner voltage (CLV) for memory defects improvement by using PrintCare to print CLV values of 220, 240, 260, 280, and 300.
