Before removing the battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 29).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 30).
Remove the battery:
1. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the battery to the computer.
2. Lift top (connector side) of the battery up to an approximate 45° angle (2), and then remove the battery
from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.
