Touchpad assembly (includes cable) L77252-001
Before removing the touchpad assembly, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 29).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 30).
4. Remove the battery (Battery on page 31).
Remove the touchpad assembly:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1).
2. Lift the silver tape from the two locations that secure touchpad to the computer (2).
3. Remove the six broad head Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (3) that secure the touchpad to the computer.
4. Lift the touchpad from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad assembly.
