Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 29).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 30).
4. Remove the battery (Battery on page 31).
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Remove the two Torx T8 2.5 × 4.0 screws (1) that secure the right hinge to the computer, and the rotate
the hinge to the open position (2).
2. Disconnect the cable from the system board (3).
3. Remove the power connector cable from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
