4. Thoroughly clean the thermal material from the surface of the heat sink (1) and the system board
component (2) each time the heat sink is removed. Replacement thermal material is included with the
heat sink and system board spare part kits.
Reverse this procedure to install the heat sink.
Light bar
To remove the light bar, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the light bar, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 29).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 31).
Remove the light bar:
1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the light bar (1).
