Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet,
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
NOTE: When replacing the keyboard/top cover, be sure that the TouchPad (TouchPad on page 40) and
TouchPad cable (TouchPad cable on page 39) are removed from the defective keyboard/top cover and
installed on the replacement keyboard/top cover.
Remove the keyboard/top cover:
1. Close the computer.
2. Turn the computer upside down with the front toward you.
