Speakers
The speakers are located at the bottom of the computer. Two separate speakers are each secured by
two Torx screws and have separate cables and system board connectors.

To remove the speakers:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see
Preparing to Disassemble the Computer
on page 26).
2. Remove the center access panel (see
Hinge Cover Panel on page 27).
3. Remove the memory access panel (see
Memory Access Panel on page 29).
4. Remove the drive access panel (see
Drive Access Panel on page 31).
5. Remove the stand (see
Stand on page 54).
6. Remove the optical drive (see
Optical Drive on page 33).
7. Remove the heat sink cover (see
Heat Sink Cover on page 45).
8. Remove the top panel (see
Top Panel on page 51).
9. Remove the rear cover (see
Rear Cover on page 55).
10. Remove the system board shield (see
System Board Shield on page 62).
11. Remove two Torx screws that secure each speaker to the computer.
12. Disconnect the speaker cables from the system board connectors . The left speaker connects to
the white connector labeled LFT_SPKR. The right speaker connects to the black connector
labeled RT_SPKR.
