Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 34).
3. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 36).
4. Remove the battery (Battery on page 35).
5. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WLAN module (select products only) (WLAN/Bluetooth combo
card on page 39).
6. Disconnect the antenna cables from the WWAN module (select products only (WWAN module
on page 41).
Remove the power connector cable:
1. Remove the two Torx T8 2.5 × 4.0 screws from the right hinge (1).
2. Rotate the hinge up from the power connector (2).
3. Disconnect the cable from the system board (3).
4. Use a tool to release the connector from the computer (4).
Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
