System board
NOTE: All system board spare part kits include replacement thermal material.
All system boards use the following part numbers:
xxxxxx-001: Non-Windows operating systems
xxxxxx-601: Windows 10 operating system

Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 34).
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode (Battery Safe mode on page 34).
3. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 36).
b. Battery (Battery on page 35)
c. Fan (Fan on page 47)
When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components (as applicable) from the
defective system board and install on the replacement system board:
● Memory modules (Memory modules on page 38)
● WLAN/Bluetooth module (WLAN/Bluetooth combo card on page 39)
● WWAN module (WWAN module on page 41)
● M.2 solid-state drive (M.2 solid-state drive on page 43)
● Heat sink (Heat sink on page 48)
Remove the system board:
1. Disconnect the following cables from the system board:
(1) Power connector cable
(2) Antennas from WWAN module (select models only)
(3) Antennas from WLAN module (select models only)
(4) Speaker cable
(5) Display cable (ZIF)
