i. Remove the eight Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the display hinges to the display
panel.
j. Remove the display hinges (2). The display hinges are available in the Display Hinge Kit,
spare part numbers 583232-001 (for use only with computer models equipped with a 15.6-
in display assembly) and 583959-001 (for use only with computer models equipped with a
14.0-in display assembly).
NOTE: Substeps k and l apply only to computer models equipped with a 14.0-in display
assembly.
k. Remove the six Phillips PM2.0×3.0 screws (1) that secure the display hinges to the display
panel.
