Powering on the server
Power on the server after connecting the cables.
1. PoweronserverbypushingtheI/Obutton(1). ThepowerLED
located on the I/O button illuminates.

2. Insert the HP ProLiant Stora ge Server System I nstallation and Recovery
DVD into the storage server disk drive to finalize the operating system
installation and updates.
IMPORTANT:
To successfully complete the installation and update
pr ocess, you must run the HP ProL iant Stor age Server
System Installation and Recovery DVD. If you have not
inserted this DVD into the disk drive when you boot the
server, you will be pr ompted to do so. Follow the steps
below to complete the server installation.
3. If the following screen comes up on your PC, click Exit and reboot or
hold the power I/O button for 10 seconds.
