6. Pull out the lever on the left side of the primary hard drive (1) to release the drive, and then slide
the drive up out of the drive cage (2).

To install a primary hard drive:
1. Install two 6-32 guide screws in the lower holes on each side of the drive.
NOTE: NOTE: When replacing the hard drive, transfer the four screws from the old drive to the
new one. You will need a Torx T-15 screwdriver to remove and re-install the guide screws. HP has
provided four extra 6-32 standard guide screws on the front of the chassis, under the front bezel.
The 6-32 standard guide screws are silver.
