Multipurpose Switch SW1
The switch SW1 affect flash BIOS updates, the Setup program settings,
and the password settings.
Power-on Spacebar Feature Jumper JP4
The Power-On spacebar feature (“KBD Start” on the system board)
enables you to turn on the PC using the spacebar. To enable this
feature, a jumper has to be inserted. To disable the feature, remove the
jumper. This setting overrides the setting in the Setup program.
NOTE To use the Power-On spacebar feature, you must have a HP Vectra
Keyboard displaying a Power-On icon on the spacebar and the above
jumper installed.

SW1-1 BIOS flash ON - Disabled
OFF - Enabled (default)
Before updating the BIOS, ensure this switch is set
to OFF.
SW1-2 Clear CMOS ON - Clear
OFF - Normal (default)
To clear the setup program settings and use the
default settings, set this switch to ON and restart the
PC then reset the switch to OFF and restart the PC.
SW1-3 Passwords ON - Clear
OFF - Normal (default)
To clear user and administrator passwords and
disable password protection, set this switch to ON
and restart the PC then reset the switch to OFF and
restart the PC.
