Fan kit (includes graphics fan and memory fan) L05349-001
The computer houses two separate fans – one graphics fan and one memory fan.
Before removing the fans, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 14).
2. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 14).
Remove the fans:
1. Graphics fan: Remove the Phillips M2.5 × 6.5 screw (1), and then remove the eyelet from the graphics
fan (2).
2. Remove the two Phillips M2.5 × 4.5 screws (3) that secure the graphics fan to the computer.
3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (4), and then remove the graphics fan from the
computer (5).
4. Memory fan: Remove the Phillips M2.5 × 4.5 screw (1), and then remove the eyelet from the memory
fan (2).
5. Loosen the two captive Phillips screws (3) that secure the memory fan to the computer.
