3. Remove the four Torx T8M2.5x5.0 screws inside the battery bay (1) and the three Torx
T8M2.5x5.0 screws in the optical drive/upgrade drive bay (2).
4. Position the computer upright and open it as far as possible.
5. Disconnect the following cables:

(1) Function board
●
(2) Power button board cable
●
(3) TouchPad cable
●
(4) Fingerprint reader board
6. Starting at the top right, pry the top cover up to disengage it from the base enclosure (1).
