HYDRAULIC PART PUMPING PART MECHANICAL PART
DESCRIPTION OF THE PUMP
The pumps are built with high quality materials, worked and handled by technologically advanced
machines.
The pumps consist of three basic parts (Fig. 02):
Mechanical Part
Pumping Part
Hydraulic Part
A. The Mechanical part consists of a cast iron body inside which the following are housed:
- Crankshaft made from the solid part and treated
- Roller bearings
- Cast iron connecting rods with high mechanical resistance and high load capacity
- Guide pistons with antifriction surface treatment
Oil shaking lubrication is used for the whole unit.
B. The Pumping part consists of:
- Ceramic pumping elements
- High quality, long-life pressure gaskets
- Stainless steel/bronze gasket supports
C. The hydraulic part consists of:
- Nickel coated head with intake and delivery
- Easy-to-inspect intake/delivery valves in stainless steel.
OPERATION
The piston displacement pump requires a source of energy able to supply the energetic increase
necessary for the uid and to drive the whole link mechanism and any other auxiliaries.
The main energy sources for this type of pump are electric motors and internal combustion engines.
The reciprocating motion of this pumps pistons creates vacuum inside the cylinder - during the
downstroke motion, opening the intake valves and drawing the uid back inside, while during the
upstroke motion (compression) the over pressure that is created causes the outlet (delivery) valves to
