D Rapid Shutdown
When all PV modules connected to the solar inverter are congured with
optimizers, the PV system shuts down quickly and reduces the output voltage of
the PV string to below 30 V within 30 seconds. If optimizers are
congured for
some PV modules, the rapid shutdown function is not supported.
Perform the following step to trigger rapid shutdown:
● Method 1: Use the rapid shutdown function. Set Dry contact function to DI
Rapid Shutdown. Connect the access switch to pins 7 and 5 of the inverter
communications terminal. The switch is turned
o by default. When the
switch is turned on, rapid shutdown is triggered.
● Method 2: Turn o the AC switch between the solar inverter and the power
grid.(If the SUN2000 supports and enables the
o-grid function, the rapid
shutdown function is not supported.)
● Method 3: Turn
o the DC switch at the bottom of the SUN2000. (If an extra
DC switch is connected to the input side of the SUN2000, turning o this DC
switch will not trigger rapid shutdown.)
● Method 4: If AFCI is enabled, the inverter automatically detects arc faults,
triggering a rapid shutdown.
