9.6 Torque Specifications
This specification chart applies to all fasteners used to make hydraulic and high-pressure connections.
This includes hydraulic flange fittings, proximity switch to end cap, hydraulic manifold to end cap, one-
inch intensifier nuts, and intensifier center-section cap screws. Torque values are for lubricated Grade 8
fasteners.
Specific Torques:
Intensifier Stud: 1 in. nut 275 ft-lb (373 N-m)
Intensified Center: 7/8 in. cap screw 275 ft-lb (373 N-m)
General Torques:
The torques below are to be applied only to those fasteners not listed above:
#10 45 in-lb* (5.1 N-m)
1/4 in. 105 in-lb* (11.9 N-m)
5/16 in. 18 ft-lb (24N-m)
3/8 in. 33 ft-lb (45 N-m)
7/16 in. 53 ft-lb (72 N-m)
1/2 in. 80 ft-lb (108 N-m)
High Pressure Fitting Torques
1/4 in. 15-25 ft-lb (20-34N-m)
3/8 in. 35-45 ft-lb (47-60N-m)
9/16 in. 60-75 ft-lb (80-100N-m)
