What to do if the arc does not transfer to the workpiece with Hypertherm Welding System?

If the arc doesn't transfer, clean the area where the work clamp contacts the workpiece to ensure a good metal-to-metal connection. Also, inspect the work clamp for damage and repair if needed. The pierce-height distance may be too large, so move the torch closer to the workpiece and try firing the torch again.
