T45V TORCH LEAD REPLACEMENT

Reassemble the torch handle
1. Lay the right side of the handle on a flat surface.
2. Press the start switch onto the two mounting posts and position the wires below the slot for the gas fitting.
3. Lay the cap sensor switch wires and wire connector above the start switch with the wires positioned above the slot
for the gas hose fitting.
4. Press the torch head into the torch handle with the gas hose fitting flange aligned with the slot in the handle.

5. Align the cap-sensor switch with the handle and the torch head so that the tip of the switch will not hit the torch head
as you put it in place. Gently press the cap sensor switch onto its mounting post in the handle. The tip of the cap-
sensor switch should rest just above the cap sense plunger on the torch head, and the post on the back of the cap-
sensor switch should slide into the hole in the handle.

3. Attach the torch head’s supply line to the new torch lead by tightening the nut with the 5/16” and 1/2” wrenches.
4. Thread the torch plunger screw through the ring terminal for the torch power cable, and the hole in the plunger.
Adjust the ring terminal so the seam faces away from the screw and the cable rests about 15 degrees above
horizontal. Use a #1 Phillips-head screwdriver and a 1/4” nut driver (or adjustable wrench) to secure the cable.
