Implicit Termination of IPDS Mode
If IPDS mode is active, any of the following causes termination of the active
destination selection and is an implicit termination of IPDS mode:
•
A chain indicating End Bracket (EB)
•
CLEAR
•
Power-on-reset (POR).
Note: IPDS always returns to the home state upon termination.
Copy Considerations
Because an End Bracket is also an implicit termination of IPDS mode,
between-bracket printer sharing can be used for either operator-initiated or
host-initiated copy operations.
For improved throughput, the recommended procedure is to include the entire
page within a chain.
