you heard one short beep, your system unit has
completed its self-test.

you hear nothing
or
anything other than the short
beep and the diskette drive, return your IBM Personal
Computer to your place of purchase.
If
you have any options you would like to install, go to
the Option Installation Instructions that came with your
option. Be sure to read "Handling Static-Sensitive
Devices" in Section 5 before installing an option in
your IBM Personal Computer. You may save time
if
you follow the sequence listed below when installing
your options.
