Chapter 3. Beginning to Use Your System
A number of definition and configuration actions must be taken at the Hardware Management Console to
prepare the system for operation. Many of these actions were performed by the service representative
during installation. If you filled out a Pre-Installation Configuration Workbook, form GC38-3120, additional
steps have already been performed during installation.
The steps shown in the diagram below are those that a customer typically must complete after installation.
Detailed information on how to perform each step starts at “Step 1: Building An Input/Output Configuration
