1. LED: when green indicates that the device is turned on. When red indicates that the LINE INPUT (first
path) is clipping. When orange indicates that the FROM AMP input is clipping.
2. From Amp: connect the output of an amplifier (speaker/power or line/preamp output) when capturing a
Tone Model.
CAUTION: When this input is connected, the TO CABINET output (7) must always be connected to avoid
damaging the amplifier.
3. Amp Attenuation: attenuates the incoming amp signal up to 24 dB to avoid clipping.
4. Out switch: select LINE OUT if TONEX Capture is connected to the Line Output (or Preamp Out) of the
amplifier, select POWER OUT if TONEX Capture is connected to the Power Output (or Speaker Out) of the
amplifier.

5. Line Output: connect to an input of your audio interface when capturing an AMP Tone Model.
6. Line Output Ground Lift: lifts the ground to avoid hum.
7. To Cabinet: connect to the cabinet (or another load such as a loadbox) to pass through the amp signal to
the cabinet.
CAUTION: When the FROM AMP input (2) is connected, this output must be connected to avoid
damaging the amplifier.
