NOTES
1 The above data is for guidance only. National and local regulations and guidelines
should be strictly observed.
2 The above data applies only to installations NOT equipped with motor line reactors.
3 The length of motor cable may be extended by the installation of motor line reactors.
4 Longer cables without motor line reactors can be achieved by reducing the PWM
carrier frequency, Function 12.
5 If the length of the motor cable is greater than 50m, it may be necessary to reduce the
PWM carrier frequency, Function 12, to 0 to reduce the effect of leakage current.
6 Long cables may reduce the starting torque output of the motor due to voltage drop.
7 It is recommended that MICC-type cable is NOT used for motor supply due to high
capacitance and thus greater limitation of maximum length.
8 The above data is based on the use of standard 4-pole squirrel cage induction motors.
9 If a non-standard motor is to be used, or cables in excess of 100m, consult IMO
Precision Controls Ltd.
10 The figures given in the above table are proven lengths. Under certain operating
conditions the maximum length may be considerably greater. If further assistance is
required, please consult IMO Precision Controls Ltd.
