Why doesn't the float valve rise on my Instant Pot DUO EVO PLUS Electric Pressure Cooker?

If the float valve isn't rising, it could be due to a few reasons. Food debris on the float valve or its silicone cap can prevent it from rising, so remove the float valve from the lid and clean it thoroughly. Perform the Initial Test Run to check for function. It could also be that there's too little liquid in the inner pot; check for scorching and add thin, water-based liquid. A damaged or missing float valve silicone cap can also be the cause, so install or replace the float valve. The float valve could also be obstructed by the lid-locking mechanism; tap the float valve with a long utensil. If the float valve still doesn't drop, turn the cooker off and contact Customer Care.
