Unpacking and Inspection
Check box and contents for damage:
When the instrument is received, please check the shipping
box for rough handling and damage. If the box is damaged
it should be kept until the contents of the shipment have
been checked mechanically and electrically. If the
instrument is faulty, please contact the nearest service
office. Keep the shipping material for the carriers inspection
and insurance claim.
Contents of Shipment
The OtoRead instrument uses 4 AA/UM-3/R6 Alkaline batteries. Open
the battery compartment by sliding the battery panel down and install
the batteries as indicated on the battery label. Once the batteries are
correctly in place, slide the panel back onto its tracks to close the
battery compartment.
The following is a list of parts shipped with each OtoRead system:

If any of these parts are missing, contact your special equipment
distributor. We recommend that you save the box and packing
materials in case you need to store or ship the system.
The serial number of your instrument can be found inside the battery
compartment and the printer serial number is under the battery.
Please write the instrument and printer serial numbers below for later
service claims.
