10.1Diagnosisandfaultrepair
Theelectronicsystemoffersdiagnosticinformation
tosupportthetechnicianduringtherecognitionand
recticationoffaultsonthescooter.Ifthereisafault,the
statusdisplayashesseveraltimes,pauses,thenashes
again.Thetypeoffaultisdisplayedbythenumberofashes
ineachgroup,whicharealsoknownasthe"ashcode".
Theelectronicsystemreactsdifferentlydependingonthe
seriousnessofthefaultanditseffectonusersafety.Itcan,
forexample:
•Showtheashcodeasawarningandallowboth
drivingandnormaloperationtocontinue.
•Displaytheashcode,stopthescooterandprevent
furthertraveluntiltheelectronicsystemhasbeen
switchedoffandswitchedonagain.
•Displaytheashcode,stopthescooterandnotpermit
furthertraveluntilthefaulthasbeenrectied.

Ifthescootershowsafailure,pleaseusethefollowingguide
tolocatethefault.
Beforemakinganydiagnosis,ensurethatthescooter
hasbeenswitchedonatthekeyswitch.
IfthestatusdisplayisOFF:
•CheckwhetherthekeyswitchisSWITCHEDON.
•Checkwhetherallcablesarecorrectlyconnected.
IfthestatusbarindicatorisFLASHING:
•Countthenumberofashesandthenproceedtothe
nextsection.
