- The hoseguide mechanism is a device that guides the tube that allows winding the tube in a compact
way on the drum.
- If this shouldn’t happen (coils have distance between them or the tube piles on itself), check the following:
- Check that the hose guide fork is fastened to its support;
- Check that the chains (primary and secondary) have got the right tension.
- Tightening chains:
Primary chain:
- loosen the hoseguide bolts
(item B fig.52) and adjust its position with the adjustment
screw (item C fig.52) or with pads (item D fig.52) for the
new position.
secondary chain:
- loosen the bevel gear pair mounting bolts
(item A fig.52) and adjust its position.
- CAUTION : After tightening the chains, check that they
can still an deflect about 1 cm. If the chains
are tightened too much, the could break or
damage the bevel gear pair.
Note: If during these checks you note one of the problems described, advise your
dealer for repair by qualified personnel.
- After each repair of the hoseguide mechanism, it is required to retime the
hoseguide mechanism. Proceed in the following way:
