INSTALLATION HEIGHT REQUIREMENT
With the boat loaded, stationary, and the motor perpendicular to the water surface,
there must be a minimum of 150 mm (5.9 in) for BF200A • BF225A • BF250A between
the water surface and the idle exhaust port.
If the motor is mounted lower on the transom, water may enter the exhaust port
through wave surge or backwash, potentially causing engine damage.
