Jensen VM9314 I VM9324 Multimedia Receiver

voice
control.
In
addition
to
controlling
the
basic functions
of
the
system
with
simple commands,
your
VM9314 I VM9324 allows you
to
request music from your iPod™I
iPhone
M
library
using natural
speech commands.
If
you use
an
iPod
touch™
or
an
iPhone
M
,
you can
greatly
enhance your
speech recognition experience by downloading
the
free
"Jensen
9300
Series
QuickSpeech"
app from
the
Apple App Store™. This app collects your iPod I iPhone music library
information
quickly
(Indexing)
and synchronizes
it
to
your Jensen VM9314 I VM9324.
If
you have a large
library
in excess
of
1000 files, using
this
app lets you begin
to
use speech recognition in a
matter
of
seconds
rather
than waiting
for
upwards
of
several minutes
if
you do
not
use
the
app.
How
to
get
and use
the
"Jensen 9300 Series QUickSpeech" app:
1.
Go
to
the
Apple App Store and download
the
"Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech" app.
It's
free!!
2.
After
synching
your
iPod
touch™
I
iPhone™
music
library
information
with
iTunes, disconnect
your
iPod touch I iPhone
from
your
computer
and run
the
Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech app.
The app provides you
with
progress
information
as
it
runs and no user
interaction
is
required.
3. When
the
QuickSpeech app displays "Ready
to
upload QuickSpeech data",
exit
the app.
4. When you connect
your
device
to
your
Jensen VM9314 I VM9324, run
the
"Jensen 9300 Series
QUickSpeech" app again.
5. Within a few seconds,
your
Jensen VM9314 I VM9324 will display a screen indicating
that
your
speech recognition
information
is being updated. Note: The
first
time
you connect your iPod
touch
I iPhone, software updates may
get
applied. Please
follow
the
instructions
on
the
screen.
6. When
the
QuickSpeech application finishes,
your
Jensen VM9314 I VM9324 will return
to
the
iPod™
source screen.
7.
Exit
the
app on
the
iPod touch™I
iPhone
M
•
Although you can run
the
"Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech" app whenever you want, you only
need
to
run
it
when you re-synch your device
with
iTunes™
or download new
content
from the
iTunes store.
NOTE:
The "Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech" app also has
the
ability
to
update
your
VM9314 I VM9324
with
the
latest
operating software.
To
enable
this
feature,
all you have
to
do is:
a)
If
you are using
an
iPhone
M
with
a
3G
connection you
don't
need
to
do anything.
It
will all
happen automatically. The application will
tell
you
that
it
is
getting
downloads and
notify
you
when
the
download is complete.
b)
If
you use
an
iPod touch™, ensure
your
Wi-Fi is
turned
on and connected
to
a valid wireless
source while running
the
application. Updates will
be
installed automatically. The application will
tell
you
that
it
is
getting
downloads and
notify
you when
the
download is complete.
We
suggest
that
you keep
your
device up
to
date
with
the
latest
updates from Apple and
strongly
recommend upgrading
to
the
latest
iPod touch I iPhone operating system (Version
4)
to get
the
best performance possible.
The "Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech" application is compatible
with
iPod
touch™
I
iPhone
M
operating system version 3
or
later.
To
check your operating system's version, select 'Settings',
'General', 'About' then 'Version'. The
first
number
of
the
'Version' denotes which operating system
you have.
If
it
says 3
or
4
the
Jensen 9300 Series QuickSpeech application will operate correctly.
