5. Press down on the valve spring retainer and
slide the spring keepers out from the assembly
(Figure 84).
6. Remove the valve spring and valve spring
retainer.
7. Remove the suction and discharge valves
(Figure 85).
8. Inspect the valves. Refer to “Valve Inspection”
on page 50 for inspection criteria.
