6.0 OPERATING MODES
The various operating modes have specific
properties and objectives. The operator, based on
the type of wheel he is working on, must decide the
desired result:
Select the Operating Mode.
With the MANUAL Mode
you can:
- Perform a balancing based on nominal wheel data.
- Use the arm for the entire wheel.
- Use the Menus to set the wheel data.
- Use the Menus to set a specific ALU.
- Use the Special Dimensions function.
- Use the Wheel Profiles function.
With the
BALANCE
Mode you can:
- Perform the balancing cycle automatically.
- Read the type of rim.
- Use the Rim Data Freeze function.
- Automatically count the number of spokes.
- Automatically read the position of the spokes.
With the BALANCE WITH RUNOUT Mode you can:
- Perform the balancing cycle automatically.
- Read the type of rim.
- Use the Rim Data Freeze function.
- Automatically count the number of spokes and read
their position.
- Read the wheel deformation (runout).
- Automatic Geometric Matching.
- TDI - general information on the tyre wear.
With the FULL DIAGNOSTIC Mode you can:
- Perform the balancing cycle automatically.
- Read the type of rim.
- Use the Rim Data Freeze function.
- Automatically count the number of spokes and read
their position.
- Read the wheel deformation (runout).
- Automatic Geometric Matching.
- TDI - complete information on the tyre wear.
Switching operating modes
(Fig. 6-1)
The balancer can be set so that it presents the
desired mode of operation at power-on.
Set the desired mode in the Functions menu:
- Manual - Profiling - Balance with ruunout - Full
Diagnostic
Then access the “Save data in permanent memory”
Parameter and set “Activate”.
Note :

navigation procedure through the function menus
and the setting modalities.
