before you connect the power supply to the controller,
because short circuits or wires connected incorrectly
can cause damage to controllers and void warranties.

Do not exceed controller electrical ratings, because
this can result in permanent damage to the controller
and void warranties.

Only use copper conductors. Wire the controller
in accordance with local, national, and regional
regulations
CAUTION
Use the correct electrostatic discharge precautions
throughout installation, setup, and service to avoid
damage to the controller and controller components.
FW-14 basic input, output, power, and
serial device wiring setup
The following diagrams show the controller in a system
with a basic setup.
WARNING
Use Class 2 device wiring. Do not reclassify and
install as Class 1, 3 or power and lighting wiring.
CAUTION
DO1 and DO2 are voltage free contacts. Use either an
external 24 VAC or 24 VDC power source.
