6. Disconnect the hydraulic pipes from below the front
transmission and attach protective plugs.
7. Remove the front left footrest plate. See

8. Disconnect the hydraulic pipe from the top of the
front transmission and attach protective plugs.
9. Remove the 5 screws that hold the front
transmission and lower the front transmission.
10. Remove the parking brake cable from the front
transmission.
11. Loosen the 2 stop screws and remove the bearing
on the right side.

.
CAUTION: Hold the connection nut with a
wrench to prevent damage from twisting forces
to the pipes or elbow nipples.
1. Assemble the front transmission in opposite
sequence. See
To disassemble the front
transmission on page 31
. Tighten the left side
bearing before the right side bearing.
2. Tighten the screws that hold the front transmission
before tighten the screws for the right side bearing.
