Geng to Know Your Tricycle
Carrying a load and riding a long-wheelbase tricycle
can require gaining experience. Therefore, pracce
manoeuvres and braking before carrying a heavy
load for the rst me. Heavy loads can cause longer
braking distances, instability while turning and
reduced performance while going uphill.
Children
The user of this tricycle acknowledges both an
understanding and an assumpon of the risk
involved in cycling, cycling with cargo and cycling
with a passenger. Children are highly recommended
NOT to ride on any of the Jorvik tricycles E tricycles.
It can be dangerous and cause serious injury.
Within the UK those aged under 14 years old are not
allowed to use an electrically assisted cycle/tricycle
on a public highway, please check the laws for your
locaon.
Use Good Judgment
Make sure there are no straps or loose items are in
posions that can become entangled in the wheels or
other moving parts. Check that any loads carried are
securely fastened onto the baskets ed to the tricycle
and that they do not cause instability while riding or
obstrucon to the steering.
Ride your tricycle to the road condions.
If you are involved in a crash, get the tricycle inspected
by a cycle mechanic for any damage.
If you hear any creeks check the tricycle for any cracks
or damage and seek advice from a cycle mechanic.
