Maintenance and Upkeep
Pre-ride/weekly
Check tyre pressure.
Check crank bolts are ght,
Jet-E1, JMT3, JMT6, JMT9 and JMT11: With a long handled 8mm hex key apply force clockwise while pushing down on
the crank arm in your le hand. It should be between 35-40Nm with a torque wrench or the weight of your body. Small
vibraons can cause the bolt to slacken while in use and damage the crank arms (this is not a warranty issue).
Jet-E2, JMT7 and JMT13: slacken o the 2 5mm hex bolts on the crank arm then nger ghten the large cap on the
crank (0.7-1.2Nm) then ghten the 2 5mm hex bolts hand ght to clamp the front cap in posion (small vibraons can
cause the bolts to come loose and possible failure of the crank arm spines if ridden without a cap, this is not a warranty
issue).
Check funcon of brake levers and system. Note for any excessive lever pull. The levers should come halfway from
the o posion to the handlebar.
Check any xing bolts on the controls (brake levers, gear shier, stem bolts).
Check all wheel nuts, bolts or Quick Release skewers are ght:
Jet-E1 rear wheels are to be hand ght (20Nm max) with an 8mm hex key.
