suspend it by the carrying strap during welding.
• Donotexposethemachinetohightemperatures,asheatmaycause
damage to the machine.
• Keepthetorchcableandearthingcableasclosetoeachotheras
possible throughout their length. Straighten any loops in the cables. This
minimisesyourexposuretoharmfulmagneticelds,whichmayinterfere
withapacemaker,forexample.
• Donotwrapthecablesaroundthebody.
• Inenvironmentsclassiedasdangerous,onlyuseS-markedwelding
devices with a safe idle voltage level. These work environments include,
forexample,humid,hotorsmallspaceswheretheusermaybedirectly
exposedtothesurroundingconductivepieces.
Spatter and re safety
• Weldingisalwaysclassiedashotwork,sopayattentiontoresafety
regulations during welding and after it.
• Rememberthatrecanbreakoutfromsparksevenseveralhoursafter
the welding work is completed.
• Protecttheenvironmentfromweldingsplatter.Removeammable
materials,suchasammableuids,fromtheweldingvicinityandsupply
the welding site with adequate re ghting equipment.
• Inspecialweldingjobs,bepreparedforhazardssuchasreorexplosion
when welding container type work pieces.
• Neverdirectthesparksprayorcuttingsprayofagrindertowardthe
weldingmachineorammablematerials.
• Bewareofhotobjectsorsplatterfallingonthemachinewhenworking
above the machine.
• Weldinginammableorexplosivesitesisabsolutelyforbidden.
General electric safety
• Onlyconnecttheweldingmachinetoanearthedelectricnetwork.
• Notetherecommendedmainsfusesize.
• Donottaketheweldingmachineinsideacontainer,vehicleorsimilar
work piece.
• Donotplacetheweldingmachineonawetsurfaceanddonotworkon
a wet surface.
• Donotallowthemainscabletobedirectlyexposedtowater.
• Ensurecablesorweldingtorchesarenotsquashedbyheavyobjectsand
thattheyarenotexposedtosharpedgesorahotworkpiece.
