To Remove:
(_ Disconnect the machine from the power supply.
(_) Open the looper and side covers.
Disengage the upper knife.
(Refer to page 44.)
Remove the hexagon bolt, and remove the
upper knife.

(_ Desconecte la mdqutna de ia fuente de energia.
(_) Abra ta tapa de los ojos-guia y la tapa lateral.
(_ Desacttve la euchilta snpertor.
(Consutte ta p6gina 45.)
(_ Saque el tornillo hexagonal y qutte la cnchilla
Superior.

To Attach:
(D insert new upper knife into the groove of knife holder and
stopper pin; then tighten the hexagon bolt sfightiy.
(_) Turn the upper knife holder to cutting position.
(_) Turn the hand wheel toward you until the upper knife
comes to its lowest position. Loosen the hexagon bolt,
and adjust the posi- tion ot upper knife so that the edge of
the upper knife overlaps &5 to 1 mm (1/32 °') from the
edge of lower knife as shown above. Then tighten the
hexagon bolt firmly.
(_ Close the looper and side covers.
Para colocar la cuchilla:
(!) lntroduzca la nueva cuchilta superior en la ranura de!
soporte de Ia cuchilla y el pasador de tope, y htego aprtete
Iigeramente e1 torni!lo hexagonal.
(_) Gire el soporte de la cnchilla sttpertor hasta ia postcidn de
carte.
(_) Gire el volante de mann haeia usted hasta que ta cuchilla
superior estd en su posici6n m6s baja. Afloje el tornillo
h_ragonal y ajuste la postci6n de la cuchilla superior para
que el borde de la cuchilla sttperior se superponga 0.5 a 1
mm (1]32"') desde el borde de la cuchilta tt_erior tai como
se muestra rods arriba. Luego, aprtete firmemente el tor
nillo hexagonal
(_) Cierre ia tapa de los ojos-guia y la tapa lateral.

C) Disconnect the machine from the power

Remove the waste chips to the front with a lint
brush.
* You may use vacuum cleaner to clean the
upper knife area or teed dog.
(_ Desconecte la m6qutna de lafitente de energia.
(_ Abra la tapa de los o)os-guia.
Retire ins recortes de desterdicio hacia la tarte
delantera con un cepillo para pelnsa.
* PuedeusarunaaspiradoraparaIimpiareldrea
de la cuehilla superior o el trinquete de avance.
The lower knife will tast over one year in
normal use. However, if you run over a pin or a
hard obiect, it may be required to replace both
upper and lower knives at the same time.
