8 GPIB Command Compatibility List
Error Handling
Most error commands and error texts for all instruments are new.
The HP 8153A timed out for every error. Errors are handled differently by
the 8163A/B and 8164A/B; instead of timing out for every error, special
values are returned for erroneous queries. Table 16 on page -288 and
Table 17 on page -288 detail the new errors
The error queue is written to as before.
