[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:APERture {<seconds>|MIN|MAX|DEF}
[SENSe:]{RESistance|FRESistance}:APERture? [{MIN|MAX|DEF}]
Specifies the integration time in seconds (called aperture time) for resistance measurements.
Use this command for precise control of the DMM's integration time. Use NPLC (see
[SENSe:]FRESistance:NPLC) for better power-line noise rejection characteristics (NPLC
> 1)..
This parameter is common to 2-wire and 4-wire resistance measurements. Using the
FRESistance version of this command or query is identical to using the RESistance ver-
sion.
Parameter Typical Return
(Without the DIGoption) 200µs to 1 s (2 µs resolution), default: 100 ms. (With the DIG
option) 20 µs to 1 s (2 µs resolution), default: 100 ms.

Enable aperture, set aperture time to 300milliseconds:
RES:APER:ENAB ON
RES:APER 300E-03
or
FRES:APER:ENAB ON
FRES:APER 300E-03
l Applies only to the 34465A and 34470A.
l Affects both 2-wire and 4-wire resistance measurements.
l
Both the [SENSe:]<function>:NPLC and [SENSe:]<function>:APERture commands control the instru-
ment's integration time. When using both commands (not recommended), whichever command is
sent last will override the other command and set the integration time. Sending the
[SENSe:]<function>:APERture command sets the [SENSe:]<function>:APERture:ENABled command
to 1 (ON); sending [SENSe:]<function>:NPLC sets it to 0 (OFF).
l This parameter is set to its default value after a Factory Reset (*RST) or Instrument Preset
(SYSTem:PRESet).
