Step Action Notes
4 Return the current
mode settings to
factory defaults.
Press Mode Preset.
5 Route the internal
50 MHz signal to the
analyzer input.
Press Input/Output,
RF Calibrator, 50,
MHz.
6 Set the reference
level to 10 dBm.
Press AMPTD Y
Scale, 10, dBm.
7 Set the center
frequency to 40
MHz.
Press FREQ
Channel, Center
Freq, 40, MHz.
The 50 MHz reference
signal appears on the
display
8 Set the frequency
span to 50 MHz.
Press SPAN, 50, MHz.
Step Action Notes
1 Activate a marker
and place it on the
highest amplitude
signal.
Press Peak
Search.
The frequency and amplitude of
the marker appear in the active
function block in the
upper-right of the display. You
can use the knob, the arrow
keys, or the softkeys in the Peak
Search menu to move the
marker around on the signal.
2 To return the marker
to the peak of the
signal.
Press Peak
Search.
Step Action Notes
1 Change the reference
level.
a. Press AMPLTD
Y Scale.
b. Press Marker −>,
Mkr −> Ref Lvl.
The reference level is now the
active function.
