SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
2. Allow the tractor time to cool off be-
fore servicing any part that may have
become hot while the tractor was
running.
3. Always stop the engine before refu-
eling the tractor. Avoid overfilling
tractor or spilling fuel.
4. Before jump starting a dead battery,
read and follow all of the instructions.
5. Keep a first aid kit and fire extin-
guisher handy at all times.
When servicing your tractor park on a
flat level surface, set the parking brake,
place the gear shift lever in neutral and
stop the engine.
1. Do not smoke while working around
the battery or when refueling your
tractor. Keep all sparks and flames
away from the battery and fuel tank.
The battery presents an explosive
hazard because it gives off hydro-
gen and oxygen… especially when
recharging.
SERVICING THE TRACTOR
6. Do not remove the radiator cap while
the coolant is hot. When cool, slowly
rotate the cap to the first stop and
allow sufficient time for excess pres-
sure to escape. After all the pres-
sure is released remove the cap
completely. If your tractor is
equipped with a coolant recovery
tank, add coolant there rather than
to the radiator.
